Outline of Research at the Start

本研究課題では多細胞ボルボックス系列の中でも細胞数が多く大きな生殖細胞が分化したボルボックス（Volvox）とプレオドリナ（Pleodorina）に焦点を合わせて、カルチャーコレクションにおいてすでに継代培養で維持されている培養株の凍結保存化、並びに有性生殖能力が高いと期待される新規培養株を確立した上で凍結保存株化する。その結果、次世代の生物研究者と教育者に形態形成能力と有性生殖能力の高い多細胞ボルボックス系列の材料を提供する。
