Outline of Research at the Start	絶滅可能性が高い鳥類である亜種アカモズを対象として、飼育繁殖と野生復帰手法を確立することを目的とする。野生下で放棄された卵や飼育下で産まれた卵を移送・人工孵卵することによって適正な移送・発生条件を検証する。また、孵化した個体を飼育することで、飼育管理手法、施設条件、ペア形成についての情報を収集する。さらに、育成個体について生餌の給餌を行うことで採餌能力を身に着けるために必要な訓練期間を明らかにする。これにより、アカモズの生息域外保全の技術を確立し、短期的な絶滅を回避する手段を見出し、安定的に存続可能な野生個体群の確保を目指す。
