Outline of Research at the Start	植物の成長期に雨の多いアジアモンスーン地域において、未解明となっている降雨中の植物のガス交換特性について明らかにすることを目的とする。そのために、降雨や霧・朝露等によってもたらされる植物葉の気孔および周囲を取り巻く葉内水分環境の変動が、どのように森林のガス交換特性に影響を与えるのかを野外観測及び野外実験の両面から明らかにする。実際の測定では、森林樹冠上CO2/H2Oフラックスを降雨中も含めて連続観測を行い、同時に葉群の光合成・呼吸・蒸散量を自動開閉チャンバーにより野外測定し、葉面の濡れ・乾きや水分動態とともに解析を行い、その影響を明らかにする。
