Outline of Research at the Start

樹皮に抽出成分を比較的豊富に含むマツ科の針葉樹トドマツを研究対象とし、根と幹における生体防御機能の違いについて、地表付近の“連続した樹皮”に焦点を当て解明する。
研究項目は①粗根部と幹部で異なる抽出成分の解明、②部位特異的な抽出成分の活性評価、③防御物質の個体間差と部位間差の解明の３点とし、「樹皮の化学的な防御機能は根と幹で明確に異なるか？」という問いに対する答えを探る。
