Outline of Research at the Start

In collaboration with a local Okinawan Kuruma shrimp (Marsupenaeus japonicus) aquaculture farm we will assess the use of eNA analyses methods for shrimp farming. Our goal is to devise non-invasive assays that accurately measure overall pond health, shrimp density, activity, and molting stages.
