Outline of Research at the Start

食餌制限が魚類の健全性に及ぼす影響を調べる過程で、制限食が解糖系を亢進することを発見した。そこで、給餌量をコントロールし、適度な刺激を誘導すれば「給餌に関わる様々なコストを抑え潜在能力を活かし成長させられる」という考えに至った。給餌量を減らせば、残餌や排泄物による環境への負荷も抑えられる。本研究では、酸化ストレス評価に特化したバイオマーカーの利用と各種オミクス解析を通して、食餌制限と酸化ストレス、健全性との関係を精査し、成長と品質に与える効果を明らかにする。それらより得られる科学的根拠に基づき「餌をあまりやらずに育てる」という新たなる養魚の育成法を設計する。
