Outline of Research at the Start

消滅の「緩和」を目的にせざるをえない集落は国内各地に多く存在し、この厳しい状況を受け止めた現実的な調査や研究が求められている。住民自身が集落の記憶と記録を学ぶことで、その「暮らし」の価値を再発見し、存続に結びつくのではないかという期待がある。
本研究の目的は、新潟県上越市名立区不動地区（188人、78世帯）における明治以降の「住民参加型の集落環境史」の作成を通じて、（１）集落（ムラ）の時間、家族（イエ）の時間、住民（ヒト）の時間を自然環境との相互作用のなかで記述すること、（２）集落の住民目線での記憶と記録の収集方法を構築すること、（３）集落の存続に貢献することである。
