Outline of Research at the Start

乳牛で最も発生する病気の一つが乳房炎であり、これによる被害が農家の経営を圧迫している。しかし乳房炎の防止法や治療法は完全には確立されていない．本来は乳房炎を診断した時に炎症が誘導中であれば抗生剤治療が必要で，すでに炎症治癒の途中であれば治療は不要であるが，両者は見分け難い．実際，炎症の有無のみで治療方針が決定されている．そこで本研究では炎症ステージに応じた乳房炎の適切な治療を目標とし，炎症ステージで劇的に変化する好中球機能および抗菌物質を特定し、それにより炎症ステージの推定を試みる．
