Outline of Research at the Start	犬の慢性炎症性腸症 (chronic inflammatory enteropathy; CIE) は消化管粘膜に炎症を起こす疾患である。特に難治性CIEの予後は極めて悪く，その病態解明および病態に基づいた新規治療法の開発が必要である。本研究では，犬のCIEの病態におけるJanus kinase (JAK)/signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT)経路の役割を明らかとする。さらにJAK阻害薬の中でも既に犬用に製剤化されているオクラシチニブが腸管免疫にもたらす作用を明らかにする。本研究により，オクラシチニブの犬のCIEに対する治療薬としての可能性を見出すことで，科学的根拠に基づいた臨床試験を先導し，迅速かつ着実な臨床応用を目指す。
