Outline of Research at the Start	オンコスタチンM（OSM）とその受容体（OSMR）は筋層に恒常的に発現しているが、その機能は明らかではない。OSMR欠損マウスは筋層常在性マクロファージ（MMφ）の増加や神経分岐の異常を示したことから、OSMが筋層の恒常性維持に重要な分子であることが示唆される。一方、炎症時には筋層のOSM発現が増加するため、病態形成にも関与している可能性が高い。本研究は消化管筋層の恒常性維持とその破綻の過程におけるOSMシグナルの機能解明を目的とし、筋層におけるOSM/OSMR発現細胞の同定、およびその機能的役割を明らかにすることで、OSMシグナルを標的とした消化管運動異常への新たな治療法の提案を試みる。
