Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、ヒトに近縁な霊長類カニクイザルを活用して、現在でも不明な点が多く残されている抗腫瘍薬ドキソルビシンの副作用である心筋症の発症・増悪における分子メカニズムを、申請者らが新たに見出したS100A8/A9という分泌因子に焦点を当てて解明するものである。さらに、本研究では、S100A8/A9を標的とした心筋症に対する予防・治療法の開発も行う。本研究の遂行は、抗腫瘍薬による心筋症の発症機構を解明するばかりでなく、抗腫瘍薬投与による心筋症の予防・治療法開発に向けたトランスレーショナル研究の基盤となる。
