Outline of Research at the Start

COVID19の原因ウイルスであるSARS-CoV-2由来パパイン様プロテアーゼ(PLpro)は、他のコロナウイルスのPLproと比較して高い脱ISG15化活性を示し、この性質はCOVID19の重症化に寄与している。本研究では、SARS-CoV-2由来PLproが、高い配列相同性を持つSARS-CoV由来PLproと比較して5倍以上もの高い親和性を示す動的構造基盤を解明とすることを目的として、溶液NMR法を用いたPLproとISG15の複合体形成過程およびPLpro-ISG15複合体の運動性を解析・比較する。
