Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、内臓脂肪型肥満の進展に関与する細胞外脂肪酸環境を見出し、さらにその分子基盤として、内臓ASCに形成された一次繊毛の関与を見出す。すなわち、内臓ASCの分化と増殖には一次繊毛が重要であり、さらにその一次繊毛の機能が細胞外脂肪酸環境によって亢進することを示す。本研究を通じて、「一次繊毛機能が脂肪酸環境の影響に応じて内臓脂肪型肥満を進展させる」という新たな観点を創出する。
