Outline of Research at the Start

To elucidate if Smc5/6 folds chromosomes, the 3D structure of the genome will be analyzed by Micro-C in budding yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) cells.

Thereafter, the functional impact of Smc5/6-mediated chromosome folding on chromosome segregation and DNA repair will be analyzed.
