Outline of Research at the Start	セントロメアは細胞分裂の際の正確な染色体分配に必須のゲノム領域である。セントロメアでは、ヒストンH3の代わりにCENP-A（出芽酵母ではCse4）を含む特異的なヌクレオソームが形成され、それが動原体（キネトコア）形成の基盤となる。本研究課題では、出芽酵母において応募者らが確立したケミカルマッピング法を駆使して、ヒストン、Cse4およびセントロメア結合タンパク質群のDNA結合部位をゲノムワイドで解析し、細胞周期におけるセントロメアクロマチンの構造と動態を明らかにする。本研究の成果は、細胞分裂における染色体の分配機構と染色体異常に関連する疾患の機序の解明へ繋がることが期待される。
