Outline of Research at the Start	ヒトを含めた動物において、ヘテロクロマチン制御が環境への適応にどれだけ、そしてどのように寄与しているかは不明である。本研究では、ヘテロクロマチン制御による栄養環境への適応機構と、生物種間における適応機構の違いを解析する。また、体細胞と生殖細胞でのヘテロクロマチン制御機構の違いについても解析を行う。そして、進化の過程で生物が獲得したクロマチンレベルでの環境適応機構とその多様性の理解を目指す。
