Outline of Research at the Start	送粉をめぐる植物と昆虫の関係には、蜜内微生物が密接に関わっており、その役割の解明は、植物と送粉昆虫の関係の正確な理解に不可欠である。蜜内微生物のもたらす影響は、社会性ハナバチ類の関わる系に研究が集中しており、その他の訪花昆虫が関わる場合の関係については情報に乏しい。本研究では、社会性ハナバチ類の影響が小さい虫媒植物と訪花昆虫の群集において、（１）蜜内微生物群集の構成、（２）蜜内微生物をもたらす単独性の訪花昆虫の体表面および消化管内微生物相、（３）単独性訪花昆虫が主要な群集における蜜内微生物の花や昆虫以外の生育環境、を解明することを目的としている。
