Outline of Research at the Start

視覚刺激や嗅覚刺激など、複数の感覚器官が受容したオス刺激を指標にしたマルチモーダルなメスの配偶者選択において、それぞれのオス刺激の相対的重要性は明らかにされていない。本研究では、魚類グッピーを用いて、オスの視覚刺激、及び嗅覚刺激に対するメスのマルチモーダルな配偶者選択におけるそれぞれのオス刺激の相対的重要性を検証する。さらに、一方のオス刺激が受容しにくくなるように環境を操作し、それに伴うメスの配偶者選択におけるマルチモーダルなオス刺激の相対的重要性の変化を検証する。
