疫学的に日本人成人の8割近くがビタミンD欠乏状態にあり、健康問題への影響が懸念される。ビタミンD欠乏は妊婦の約2割に認められるむずむず脚症候群（restless legs syndrome: RLS）と関連する。近年、25-hydroxyvitamin D (25OHD)を介する古典的ビタミンD生成経路に加えて、20OHDを介する新規ビタミンD生成経路が見出されている。本研究では、2経路のビタミンD生成系を評価することにより、太陽光を模した人工照明によるビタミンD生成とRLS症状改善効果を検証し、妊婦における包括的ビタミンD測定結果とRLSとの関連を検討する。
