Outline of Research at the Start	摂食に伴う快の情動的意識経験(快経験)の強度は、口腔顔面の動きとして表れる快の味覚反応(快反応)の強度と高い相関を示す。本研究は、特定の神経細胞の活動を記録し、さらにそれら細胞の活動を人為的に操作することで、快反応の神経基盤の解明を目指す。長期的には、快経験の異常を伴う様々な精神疾患の治療法の開発や、より強い快経験を求める健常者への介入など医学的にも社会的にも広くその成果の影響が及ぶ可能性がある。
