Outline of Research at the Start

パニック症は、死を覚悟するほどの著しい不安発作を主とする不安症である。脳構造や脳機能に変化があることが明らかとなっているが、いまだその病態は不明である。また、治療を行っても慢性化する症例が多い。現状打破のためには新たな視点からの病態解明研究が必要である。本研究では世界で初めてパニック症のAMPA受容体の脳内分布や発現量の評価をし、健常人との相違を明らかにする。また、その臨床的意義を明らかにする。この研究成果により、新たな薬物療法の礎を担う。
