Outline of Research at the Start	ガスボンベ由来の有毒で危険な一酸化炭素や二酸化硫黄の代わりに、化学反応によりこれらの気体状の化合物を生成できる「気体分子等価体」を用いて、気体状化合物を「存在量の時空間制御が可能な単純構造の合成素子」および「反応しにくい化学物質を反応しやすくする活性化剤」として安全かつ効率的に活用する新しい有機合成反応の開発に挑戦する。本研究を通じて、化学物質に「カルボニル基」と呼ばれる部分構造や、酸化段階の異なる硫黄原子を選択的に導入できる、創薬研究の進展に役立つ新手法の開発を目指す。また、低反応性の化学物質の変換に二酸化硫黄を活性化剤として用いる独自の手法により、気体分子等価体の新たな使い道を開拓する。
