Outline of Research at the Start	アトピー性皮膚炎の発症因子として前駆体プロフィラグリンの機能異常が知られており、その分解には複数の酵素が関与している。本研究ではフィラグリン分解を担う2つの酵素に着目し、Ｘ線結晶構造解析や物理化学的な手法を用いて、両酵素の基質認識機構の解明を目的としている。アトピー性皮膚炎の新たな治療法の開発に資する分子構造基盤の確立を目指しており、将来、広く社会に貢献できる研究課題であると考えている。
