Outline of Research at the Start	非アルコール性脂肪性肝疾患の病態進展機序は明確ではないが、肝細胞における活性酸素種の産生増大と深く関わる。本研究課題は、未解明な点が多い脂肪肝/肝炎で生じるミトコンドリアキャリアの機能異常と肝炎との関連に焦点を絞り、肝炎発生機序を解明することを目的とする。具体的には、食餌誘導性肝疾患または薬物性肝障害マウスモデルを用い、ミトコンドリアキャリアの発現・機能の変動が脂肪肝におけるミトコンドリア機能へ及ぼす影響を分子レベルで明確にする。本研究成果は肝炎発症機序への理解を深化させ、薬物の肝毒性の作用点を新たに見出すものであり、肝炎の治療及び予防戦略の提案に資する。
