Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、イカリソウ由来のEpimedokoreanin B (EK-B) とノブドウ由来の没食子酸誘導体の強力な CMA(Nε-(carboxymethyl) arginine) 生成抑制活性と歯周病原菌 Porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg) 増殖抑制活性に着目し、プレニル基やガロイル基を含有する素材(ハーブ、スパイス、生薬など)の成分研究を行い、得られた化合物の活性を評価することで構造活性相関の知見を蓄積し、臨床応用可能な新たな歯周病予防・改善素材を提案する。
