Outline of Research at the Start

中分子薬物の腸管吸収を制御する重要な因子として、粘液層の主要構成タンパク質「mucin」に着目し、「mucin分子内に中分子薬物と相互作用可能な領域が存在する」という仮説に基づき、mucin（膜結合型および分泌型）と中分子薬物の相互作用について、mucinの構造・分子サイズの違いを念頭に分子生物学的手法により統合的な解析を行う。さらに、特定されたmucin分子領域を用いた新規相互作用評価システムの発案、相互作用回避を目的とした中分子薬物に対する新規吸収改善の提案を目指す。
