Outline of Research at the Start

卵巣明細胞癌は他の卵巣癌に比べ抗がん剤感受性に乏しく、有効な化学療法が求められている。Y-ボックス結合タンパク質 1(YBX1)は、最近卵巣癌治療の有効な治療標的であることが示唆されているが、YBX1の卵巣明細胞癌における分子的機能や増殖制御への役割は不明である。
卵巣癌は細胞周期の異常が高頻度で認められていることから、本研究では、YBX1の細胞周期制御に着目し、卵巣明細胞癌の増殖へのYBX1及び細胞周期関連遺伝子の関与と分子機序の把握、並びに腫瘍抑制効果と関与する分子的背景について検討を行う。そして、卵巣明細胞癌の特異的な増殖メカニズムに基づいた、新しい効果的な分子標的治療の創出を目指す。
