Outline of Research at the Start

組織リモデリング病態の進展に対して，内因性AGEが炎症応答を過剰亢進させることによって病巣拡大や増悪化に深く関与していると共に，内因性AGEの病態生理学的な実態解明と遮断物質の創成が，社会的要請度の高い，極めて重要な課題であることを見出した。この様な背景の下，本研究では内因性AGEがコアとなっている炎症性分子複合体の構成分子の解明，分子間相互作用に基づく炎症制御の実態解明，内因性AGEを制御することで病態治療に働く化合物の探索研究を行う事で，組織リモデリング病態に対する新しい標的分子としての意義を追求していく予定である。
