Outline of Research at the Start	ミトコンドリア膜はリン脂質二重層で構築されている。その中で最も主要なリン脂質はホスファチジルコリン（PC）である。ところが、ミトコンドリア自体はPCを合成できないため、必要なPCは小胞体から供給されている。申請者は小胞体からミトコンドリアへPCを輸送する新規タンパク質StarD7を初めて発見した。本研究では、骨格筋特異的にStarD7を欠損したマウスが示す病態について、特にミオパチーを想定して解析する。さらに、本ミオパチーの診断に有用なバイオマーカーの同定を目指す。本研究はミトコンドリア病の新たな病態や原因を明らかにするだけでなく、診断や治療法の開発にも貢献することが期待される。
