Outline of Research at the Start

IgG4関連疾患は、血清中のIgG4高値とともに、諸臓器にIgG4陽性の形質細胞の浸潤および特徴的な線維化を伴う慢性炎症性疾患であり、自己免疫性疾患と考えられている。代表的疾患は自己免疫性膵炎(autoimmune pancreatitis:AIP)である。自己免疫性疾患の病因にメチル化異常の関与が指摘されている。本研究の目的は、AIPのIgG4産生と線維化を制御する免疫細胞の転写因子にDNAのメチル化異常があるという仮説を、病理学的、分子生物学的視点から検証すること。さらには転写因子メチル化異常に遺伝子多型（SNP）が関与している可能性について解析を行い、AIP発症への転写因子メチル化異常の関与と、そのメチル化異常の原因解明を目指すものである。
