Outline of Research at the Start	Tuft細胞は, 近年2型免疫への関与が明らかとなったことで注目を集める稀な上皮細胞である。加えて, tuft細胞に類似した発現プロファイルを示すがん腫が発見され, 腫瘍学分野からも関心が寄せられている。しかしヒトtuft細胞そのものや, 一部のがん腫が有するtuft細胞性の機能的意義は十分には明らかになっていない。本研究では (1) ヒトの全身におけるtuft細胞の存在・分布・発現プロファイルを網羅的に探索し, ヒトtuft細胞の概観を示す, (2) 主に “人工tuft細胞様がん細胞株” を用いた機能的実験により, tuft細胞性の生物学的意義, 特に薬物動態への影響を明らかにする。
