Outline of Research at the Start

無鉤条虫とアジア条虫は形態的には区別が困難なため、ミトコンドリアの遺伝子型から同定されている。しかし、アジア条虫とされるものの遺伝子型は個体によって姉妹種型と無鉤条虫型の様々なモザイクとなっている可能性が高い。そこで、アジア条虫と無鉤条虫の比較ゲノミクスにより、「単一種と見なしても良いアジア条虫という生物が存在するか否か」を検討する。これらの結果は、テニア症の診断・疫学にとって極めて重要である
