Outline of Research at the Start	病原性酵母Candida glabrata（以降、グラブラータ）は、宿主血中のコレステロールを取込み、利用する機構を持つ。これまでに、グラブラータの遺伝子欠損ライブラリーを用いた網羅的スクリーニングにより、宿主コレステロール取込み機構に関わる因子の探索を行った。その結果、ミトコンドリアと小胞体の接触部位に存在するERMES (ER-Mitochondria Encounter Structure) 複合体の関与を見出した。本研究では、ERMES 複合体の宿主コレステロール取込み機構に対する作用機序を明らかにする。
