Outline of Research at the Start	申請者は、TGF-βシグナルを抑制するTMEPAI遺伝子を欠損させたTMEPAIノックアウト (KO) マウスとWntシグナルが恒常的に活性化されたApcΔ716/+マウスを交配したTMEPAI KO/ApcΔ716/+マウスにおいて、ApcΔ716/+マウスに比較して腺腫形成が著しく抑制される結果を得ていることから、①TMEPAI欠損による腺腫形成抑制メカニズムについて検討し、また、この結果から、Wnt/β-catenin依存性大腸がんへの創薬につながると考え、②TMEPAIをターゲットとした低分子化合物の探索も行う。
