Outline of Research at the Start	肝転移を有する大腸がん患者の予後改善には肝転移巣拡大のメカニズムの解明が必要である。予備実験では、肝転移巣の拡大につれて、腫瘍内マクロファージ（Mφ）の数も増えており、さらに浸潤先進部と中心部とでは、異なる性質をもつMφが浸潤していた。そこで、「肝転移巣の浸潤先進部において、特定のMφがLigandを産生し、そのReceptorを持つ大腸がん細胞に作用した結果、大腸がん細胞の増殖を促進させる」と仮説を立てた。本研究では、肝転移巣の浸潤先進部において、大腸がん細胞の増殖に関与する特定のMφを同定し、さらにその分子メカニズムに関わるMφ側のLigandと大腸がん細胞側のReceptorを同定する。
