Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、①BRAF変異大腸癌でのレチノイドの治療応用を目指すためのin vitroとin vivoでのproof of conceptの確立、②BRAF変異大腸癌における新規治療標的分子の同定と治療応用のためのproof of conceptの確立、とした。
本研究において、BRAF変異大腸癌での新規治療を開発できれば、学術的独自性・創造性も高く、さらに臨床的に大きいインパクトが得られると推測される。また、BRAF変異は大腸癌の他、悪性黒色腫（50-70％）、甲状腺癌（30-80％）、肺癌（0-7％）などで高頻度にみられ、これらの癌でも同様に新規治療が有望であれば、候補対象患者数がより増加しさらにインパクトが大きいことが期待される。
