Outline of Research at the Start

近年、次世代シークエンス技術 (NGS)の進歩により多遺伝子パネル検査（multi-gene panel testing：MGPT）が実臨床現場で実用化され、PTENの病的バリアント検出率は飛躍的に上昇した一方で、膨大な臨床的意義不明のバリアント (Variant of Unknown Significance, VUS)が蓄積されていることが問題となっている。そこで本研究目的は、遺伝性腫瘍の原因遺伝子PTENにおける新規VUSの機能解明および臨床的意義を明らかにすることである。
