Outline of Research at the Start	がん免疫療法の適用範囲拡大のため、新規標的分子の探索は必須である。申請者は、正常組織に発現しないHLA-Fが悪性腫瘍に高発現することを見出した。このHLA-Fは抑制性のNKレセプターを介してNK細胞、T細胞の細胞傷害活性を抑制することから、HLA-Fが腫瘍免疫を抑制しているのではないかと考えた。本研究ではHLA-Fを新規免疫チェックポイント分子ととらえ、HLA-Fを標的とした新規がん免疫療法実用化に向けた基礎研究を行う。本研究成果は、がん免疫療法の適用範囲を拡大し、従来の免疫療法との新規併用療法を提案できる。
