Outline of Research at the Start

過敏性腸症候群（IBS）患者は、消化器症状（下痢・便秘・腹痛）と精神心理要素（うつ・不安・幼少期ストレス経験）が高い割合で共存する臨床的特徴が知られている。この直腸に着目して、申請者は自律神経の活動異常が腸管粘膜微小炎症や内臓知覚過敏の病態発症に関与する仮説を立て、IBSの発症における自律神経－粘膜免疫－感覚神経クロストークの役割とその分子基盤の解明を試みる。本研究は機能性消化管障害をはじめとする多くの機能性疾患の病態解明に繋げることが期待できる。
