Outline of Research at the Start	Mowat-Wilson症候群（MOWS）は、知的障害、特徴的な顔貌、小頭症を主な症状とする先天異常症候群のひとつで、多くはてんかんなどを合併する。知的障害やてんかんなど出生後に進行する症状に対しては介入できる可能性があり、軽減・緩和により患者や家族のQOL改善に寄与することが期待できる。MOWSの治療法を開発するためには、その発症機序を解明する必要がある。本研究では、ZEB2が直接的に発現制御する遺伝子を同定し、それらをターゲットにしたMOWSの治療法を探索する。
