Outline of Research at the Start

糖尿病腎症は本邦における透析導入原因の第一位であり、中でも高齢者の腎不全の増加が 大きな問題となっている。申請者らは高齢マウス腎組織においてポドサイトが減少すること、その糸球体の Single cell解析によりポドサイトにおいてTcf21やWt1などの分化制御転写因子の発現が低 下することを見出した。そこで本研究では、高齢糖尿病のポ ドサイト老化における、Tcf21の役割を明らかにする。加えて、老化ポドサイトとその他の隣接する細胞の細胞間相互作用を明らかにし、ポドサイト老化が糸球体傷害を進展させる機構を解明す る。
