Outline of Research at the Start	腎糸球体ポドサイトから分泌されるタンパク質としR3hdmlを同定した。R3hdmlはTGF-βによるp38MAPKシグナル活性化に伴うポドサイトのアポトーシスを抑制し、ポドサイト保護的に働く因子として報告した。さらにR3hdmlは骨格筋衛星細胞からも分泌され筋衛星細胞の増殖・分化を促進することを明らかにし報告した。このR3hdmlに対する自己抗体を健常者、糖尿病患者、慢性腎臓病患者で検出した。本研究はこのR3hdml自己抗体の生物学意義とその臨床マーカーとして可能性を検証することを目的としている。さらにR3hdml抗体以外の糖尿病などの疾患発症に関与する新たな抗体マーカー開発も目指している。
