Outline of Research at the Start	バイオフィルムは微生物が産生する菌体外多糖を主成分とする膜状の構造体で、宿主の免疫系や抗菌薬から微生物を保護することから、宿主の組織や医療器具表面でのバイオフィルム形成は感染症の難治化を引き起こす。バイオフィルム感染症の克服のためには、主成分の合成メカニズムを理解する必要がある。そこで本研究では、代表的な主成分であるバクテリアセルロースの合成機構を解明する。
