Outline of Research at the Start

2500人規模の一般住民を対象とした前向き疫学研究の血液サンプルを用いて、LC-MSによる代謝物の網羅的解析を行い、同一人物の10年間の代謝物の変動を調べる。さらに、30代から80代まで、性別、肥満度、喫煙、家族歴、既往症など様々な背景が同じサンプルを抽出し、年代別にLC-MS解析を行い、 我々が同定した新規老化マーカーあるいは、既報の重要な老化マーカーについて日本人健常人の“暦年齢”別の基準値を決める。更に、これらの老化マーカーと、糖尿病、高血圧、心・血管関連疾患、癌、認知症、歯周病など発症に加齢が大きく影響する疾患との関連、予防医学への有用性について検討する。
