Outline of Research at the Start

生薬であるオウギ末は、経口投与で慢性腎臓病（CKD）患者の腎機能改善効果があると報告されている。安全・安価な薬物であるが、適応や有効性を検証した研究はなく、オウギ末の腎機能改善効果はCKDの原因疾患によって差があると推測される。CKD患者を糖尿病合併の有無で割り付けた前向き介入研究と、基礎研究として高血圧症および糖尿病によるCKDモデルマウスを用いた腎病理組織学的変化の検討という2つの臨床および基礎的研究を計画する。
