Outline of Research at the Start

アミロイドーシスは、アミロイド線維が諸臓器に沈着することで、重度の臓器障害を引き起こす難治性の疾患群である。これまでに42種類以上のアミロイド原因蛋白質が同定されているが、未だに原因不明なものも存在する。我々は、新たなタイプのアミロイドーシスを明らかにしつつある。本アミロイドーシスは従来法での診断が容易ではないため、診断システムの構築が急務である。本研究では、新規アミロイドーシスを正確に診断できる検査システムを構築することで、本疾患の未診断や誤診を防ぐことを目指す。さらに本アミロイドーシスの病態に迫ることで、今後の治療法の開発につなげる。
