Outline of Research at the Start	造血幹細胞は造血能だけでなく、顕著な血管再生・修復能を示す。造血幹細胞が豊富なソースとしては骨髄液や臍帯血が知られているが、献血血液（いわゆる循環末梢血）中にも造血幹細胞は微量（約0.01%）ながら存在する。しかし末梢血中の造血幹細胞は、造血能や分化・増殖能がほとんど無く、その働きについてはほとんど知られていない。そこで本研究では、献血由来の末梢血中における造血幹細胞の役割を明らかにする一方で、末梢血中の造血幹細胞を用いた血管再生医療の実現を目指す。
