Outline of Research at the Start

筋萎縮性側索硬化症（ALS）では、ミエリン関連神経突起伸長阻害因子(MAIs)とその受容体NgR1を介するシグナルが神経変性を促進する。我々は、すべてのMAIsのNgR1への結合を阻害する分子であるLOTUSに着目し、ALSの治療法開発を進めてきた。本研究では臨床応用を視野に、LOTUSを発現するアデノ随伴ウイルス9型ベクターのALSモデルマウスへの髄腔内/静脈内投与により遺伝子治療を開発する。
