Outline of Research at the Start

老年期うつ病の治療反応の乏しさの一因として、一部の老年期うつ病が神経変性疾患の前駆症状としてのうつ病（neurodegenerationを伴ううつ病：NDうつ病）であることが影響している可能性がある。本研究では老年期うつ病患者を対象として、陽電子断層撮像法（PET）による2つの神経変性疾患病理（アミロイドベータとタウ蛋白）と機能的磁気共鳴画像（fMRI）による脳内神経ネットワークの評価を行うことで、①NDうつ病の病態機序としてのクロスシーディング仮説を検証し、②NDうつ病の治療反応と神経変性疾患病理の関連性を検討することで老年期うつ病における治療抵抗性の病態を明らかにすることを目的とする。
