Outline of Research at the Start

近年、腫瘍細胞に選択的に取り込ませたホウ素11と陽子の核反応により生じるα粒子を用いて、放射性抵抗性腫瘍に対する殺細胞効果を向上させる陽子ホウ素捕捉療法 (PBCT) の研究が進められており、細胞核内に集積する薬剤を用いた細胞実験で有効性が示されつつある。
本研究では、PBCTの効果は薬剤の細胞内集積位置に依存するという仮説に基づき、細胞膜と細胞核内に集積する2つの薬剤を用いた細胞実験で仮説を確認する。また細胞核に与える線量付与をモンテカルロシミュレーションで評価し、PBCTの効果を定量的に評価する。そしてPBCTの効果を最大化する薬剤集積性の条件を求め、創薬上の設計方針を導く。
